» I was told that my brother and I might have the same biological father even though our biological mother is not the same. Would this be a sibship test? (Back)
You are 1/2 correct. This would be a half-sibship test. If you are sure that your biological mothers are different individuals, we would base our calculations on the fact that you will not share common genetic information from your mothers. We will then look at the likely hood of sharing the same biological father. The mothers samples are extremely helpful in this situation.
