» Do I need to have my DNA samples collected at a specific location? (Back)
For the Paternity Screen, AGI will send you an easy-to-use home collection kit with detailed instructions for its proper use. A sponge tipped swab is used to collect the cells and saliva from the inside of the cheek. Designated areas on a specially treated card are then saturated. The card will hold a small number of cheek cells from which we can obtain DNA.
For the Court Admissible Paternity Test, samples are collected by a health care professional. If you are in the Salt Lake City or Fort Lauderdale areas, we will be happy to collect your samples at our facilities with no additional charge. If you are not near our physical locations, AGI will provide you with the location and telephone number of a sample collection site in your area. The cost for collecting each sample will vary from $10 to $45. Normally, the collection site requires payment at the time of the service. AGI has no control over the fees charged at these collection facilities fees, but we will try to find the most reasonably priced professional service in your area. Safeguards are taken to assure the strict chain of custody is well documented.
